Ken Perlman and I are still aglow following a wonderful day of music last Sunday in Randolph VT. The Chandler Theater is as good a venue as can be from a musician’s (and audience’s) point of view, and our sincere thanksĀ to organizers Kevin Dunwoody and Becky McMeekin for giving us the opportunity to play in a perfect environment.
We had some nice moments visiting with and listening to the music of our friends Flynn Cohen and Liz Simmons, John Whelan, Shannon and Matt Heaton (with their chaperone), Junior Stevens and his ‘Gang’ (Owen Marshall and Alden Robinson), Sarah Blair and Ari Friedman.
I came away very excited after finally hearing John Roberts and Tony Barrand in person, and have learned two more of their songs already. Looking forward to the Saturday evening concert at the Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival Set. 24th, which will feature John Roberts and Gordon Bok. I’ll have the honor of running soundĀ for the occasion, as well as joining Great Bay Sailor on stage as they open the show. Hope to see you all there!
